THE 2008 CORNISH SPEED CHAMPIONSHIP

2008 Championship info: -

Here are some details for this year’s Championship:-

The good news is that Combellack Vehicle Recyclers Ltd, and Richards Bros Ltd. , who have supported the Championship since it’s inception in 2001, have, yet again, agreed to continue their support for a seventh successive year. CROWN COPIERS and tregoningford have understandably said that they would like to stand down.

In their place, we are delighted to welcome two new businesses as sponsors to the Championship, both of whom have agreed to give their support for the next three years.

Gilletts Callington Ltd. currently own and operate 45 SPAR stores throughout the West Country, including 17 throughout Cornwall and a further 23 spread across Devon.

TERRY GRAVES ELECTRICAL LIMITED from Launceston need little introduction to Sprint and Hillclimb enthusiasts and has also agreed to support the Championship.

We are extremely grateful to all our Championship sponsors, past and present. Without their generosity and enthusiasm, the Championship could not run, certainly not in its present form.

In addition to the Main championship we will again be promoting the two subsidiary Hillclimb and Sprint Championships, each with its own award structure.

There are no significant rule changes proposed from last year’s Championship.

This year ten of the Cornish events are also part of the ASWMC Championship calendars (six Hillclimbs and four Sprints). By registering for this Championship you can again have a shot at three more championships for only a modest additional outlay as we have again kept the combined registration fee at £10.

We hope that you will follow the example set by our four Sponsors and support the Championship again in 2008!!
