Forestry Commission

Dear Cornish Motorsport,

I am sure that you will already be aware of the coalition government’s consultation paper regarding the proposed sell-off of Forestry Commission land. This is a very serious issue that has the potential to impact on UK motor sport at every level.

Motor sport needs to mobilise all its forces as soon as possible to urge the government to re-think its proposals and we would be grateful if you could communicate this to your membership.

We need as many people as possible not only to complete the government’s online consultation process ( www.forestry.gov.uk  ), but also to contact their Member of Parliament. To support this, the attached briefing document outlines the position of motor sport in respect of the consultation, and there is also a draft letter that can be used to write to the MPs.

As ever, we are grateful for your support. Rest assured that in the meantime the MSA continues to make its case directly to the MPs, special advisors and civil servants within Westminster.
